History of this Vehicle

The Morgan is a 1974 +8 with 3.9 Rover V8 engine. I am only the second owner, the first having bought the car from the factory while on his honeymoon. He and his wife drove the car around the UK and exported it to PNG where he lived and campaigned the car in various road events. I have copies of news papers with details of the results. In 1983 he returned to Australia, lived in Melbourne and joined VICMOG. I purchased the car in 2003, with 24,000 miles on the clock, from The Healy Factory in Melbourne where she was on consignment by the  wife after her husband passed away. I damaged the car whilst competing at Oran Park in 2008, the car has since been completely rebuilt from the chassis up with the 3.5lt engine replace with the 3.9 that had been build for further competition, unfortunately my wife now denies me that pleasure. Last year I managed to over-ride her restriction and competed at the VSCCA Cootamundra Sprint, it being in a straight line and her criteria therefore redundant. We moved from Sydney in 2007 to the Southern Highlands where we enjoy events with the local VSCCA chapter.
